What to expect after you reach out

How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To

Terroristinstant Restoration does not have a crew that comes to your home. When you reach out, your request goes to an independent provider in our network that serves Bridgeport or the Greater Bridgeport area.

That provider is the business that talks with you, visits the property and does the work.

What Happens on the First Call

Expect simple questions. The provider may ask:

  • Where did the water come from?
  • When did it start?
  • Which rooms or floors are wet?
  • Is the power on in the wet area?
  • Do you have photos?

The answers help the provider decide what to bring and what steps may be needed. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on the provider and the day.

Questions to Ask a Provider

You are hiring a business, so ask. Good questions include:

  • Are you licensed and insured in Connecticut?
  • Will you give me a written estimate before work begins?
  • How will you measure that the structure is dry?
  • What will you do about wet insulation, drywall or flooring?
  • Can you help document the damage for an insurance claim?
  • Who will be on site, and how long might it take?

Do and Do Not

Do:

  • Take photos before anything moves.
  • Keep notes with dates and times.
  • Shut off the water source if it is safe.
  • Compare what each provider explains.

Do not:

  • Touch wet outlets or stand in water near electrical items.
  • Throw away damaged items before photographing them.
  • Sign anything you do not understand.
  • Feel pressured to decide on the spot.

You Are in Control

Talking to a provider does not lock you in. You can ask for an estimate, think it over and ask another question. Costs vary by job, so get a written quote.
